We are the largest suppliers of sea fish to the Romanian hotel, restaurant, and catering trade in Bucharest (a rapidly expanding City of 2,300,000 people) we also operate throughout Romania via 7 depots. We have not bought from the UK in any significant volume before and we have now been employed as consultants to seek out competitive products for supplying to our wholesale and supermarket clients in order to supplement our existing supplier base. We are buying 200 tonne of Norwegian salmon per month to process in our new processing factory that complies with all EU standards. We seek fish to process, as our local fish from the river Danube does not fill our capacity. We can carry out most processes including canning, smoking and all of the other usual fish processing activities. We would be very interested in a joint venture to produce patte and specialist products to supply to the retail trade. We have low cost labour, a modern factory and the distribution network. We need fish at competitive prices. With 22,000,000 potential customers in Romania and a further 20,000,000
In nearby countries that could be supplied via our factories/distribution network we wish to source products from GB from suppliers who are competitive and wish to take advantage of these expanding markets.
We need to know please:
-Prices for all types of fresh fish packed for Airfreight. (including crabs, lobsters etc.)
- Standard pack sizes for air freight/most economical transport if you have existing contracts with air freight co.
-Prices in Euro payment pro forma
-Prices ex works and CIF Bucharest please.
-Prices for gutted Salmon fresh for express trucking (full truck loads) We will start slowly but, subject to price, could build up to 400 tonne/month
-Frozen fish in catering packs.
